HTPO provided civil design development/feasibility; landscape design; and bid/construction administration for a new parking lot and drive access, as well as drainage improvements for the MPS Emerson Spanish Immersion Learning Improvements and Renewal Project.

HTPO performed civil engineering and landscape architecture design services as a sub-consultant for the project which involved replacement of the existing boys’ dormitory with a new mixed dormitory on campus.

HTPO was the prime consultant for the design effort on this new campus project impacting the busiest bike intersection in the state. Our work included preliminary/ final design, traffic/roadway system review, stormwater plan, utilities, landscaping, roundabout feasibility, traffic signal, lighting, streetscaping, and construction administration tasks.

Services included stormwater management, landscape design, ADA accessible design, dome & field design, parking area design, permitting, sewer & water services, contaminated soil management, construction management and utility coordination.

This historic 3-acre area of campus improvements include parking, bicycle & pedestrian mobility, & road reconstruction; replacement of underground electrical, communication, storm/sanitary sewer and watermain; utility tunnel repair/ replacement; chilled water distribution; security improvements; tree preservation & landscape enhancements.

HTPO is working with Hennepin County Community Works, Minneapolis Public Schools, and the Lucy Craft Laney School to provide engagement, conceptual site designs and cost estimating services to address circulation, safety, and maintenance concerns.
